Recipe Thursday #4 - Pulled Pork

This is a super simple, but super yummy recipe for pulled pork. All you need are the ingredients and a large crock pot!

Pulled Pork
Ingredients
4 to 5 pounds of pork loin or pork shoulder
1 - 12 oz bottle of root beer
1 - 12 oz bottle of BBQ sauce

Directions
Spray the inside of the crock pot with cooking spray. Place the entire pork shoulder or loin in the crock pot. Pour the entire bottle of root beer over the pork (I prefer the taste of IBC). Place the lid on the crock pot and turn it on high for 6 hours.

After the cook time has passed, scoop out the majority of the liquid, the bones, and all the fat, then shred the pork with two forks. Then add the entire bottle of BBQ sauce (I prefer Bullseye or KC Masterpiece). Mix the pork and the sauce and allow to heat throughout.

Can be served on rolls, open face on bread, or however you like!
