Recipe Thursday #13 - Peach Cobbler

And because I have not posted much this week, I wanted to give you a two-for-Thursday! Here's a second recipe for this week's Recipe Thursday!

I just made this on Tuesday for a get together at our house, and it was beyond fabulous! I want to make it again soon!

Peach Cobbler

Ingredients

Filling

  • 5 cups peeled and sliced yellow peaches
  • 3 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter

Topping

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup milk

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. In medium bowl, toss peeled and sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined
  3. Pour melted butter into bottom of 13x9 baking dish
  4. Add peach mixture to buttered dish and spread evenly
  5. In large bowl, mix sugar, salt, baking powder, flour, cinnamon, and milk until well combined
  6. Spoon mixture evenly over peaches
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until top is golden and fluffy
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream
