Recipe Thursday #6 - Manicotti

Per your votes on the FB fan page, here's a recipe for a simple and easy main dish! This recipe is delicious, and leaves room for any variation you desire.

Manicotti

Ingredients
1 package manicotti pasta shells (or you can use the giant sea shells)
1 32 oz package part skim Ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
Salt, Pepper, Paprika, and Oregano to taste
3 cups marinara sauce
Additional 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese

Directions
  1. Follow package directions to cook the manicotti shells and allow them to cool on a piece of wax paper
  2. In large bowl, mix three cheeses and all spices
  3. Spoon half of marinara sauce into greased 13x9 baking dish
  4. Fill cooled manicotti shells with cheese mixture and place in baking dish
  5. Cover filled shells with remaining sauce and sprinkle additional Mozzarella cheese over top
  6. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes
  7. Remove foil and bake an additional 10 minutes
